Dr. Armstrong, DVM

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Armstrong is a 2003 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in Montgomery, and returned in 2005 after 2 years of practicing veterinary medicine in Thomasville, Georgia. His special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and preventative medicine. He is very active in the community, and works with Service Dogs of Alabama, and Hope Inspired Ministries. He and his wife Aynsley have 4 children (Mary Weldon, Greer, Martha, and Harris) and five dogs (Buck, Pixie, Tootsie, Coal, and Val).

Dr. Williford, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Williford is originally from Butler, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has practiced in Montgomery since that time. Dr. Williford is a member of the Central Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She and her husband, Allyn Williford, have two sons named Frank and Evans, and two dogs – Biscuit & Mildred.

Dr. McLemore, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. McLemore graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business Administration in 1976, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, Central Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, American Heartworm Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the College of Veterinary Medicine Centennial Club, Auburn University Samford Society, and a lifetime member of the Auburn University Alumni Association. He is also a Master Gardener. Charles is married to the former Catherine Ross of Montgomery, a talented artist, and both are active at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Together they have 3 dogs.

Dr. Welch, DVM

Hospital administrator

Dr. Welch is a native of the River Region, and a 2002 graduate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. From 2002-2010 he was a partner at North Florida Animal Hospital, one of the largest small animal practices in the Southeast. Dr Welch decided to return back to Alabama in 2010 and started up a new practice, Chantilly Veterinary Clinic. He merged his practice with MVA in September 2015 and started his partnership with Dr. Armstrong. He is married to his wife Kay and they have 3 boys, Braxton, Brewer, and Hampton. They also have two dogs, and one cat. Outside of practice, Dr. Welch enjoys time at the lake, family time, watching his kids sports, and Auburn football.

Dr. Gilmore, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Gilmore is a 2021 graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Bachelors in Biology at Auburn University at Montgomery. Her special interests include surgery, emergency and preventative medicine. She grew up in Millbrook, AL and now lives in Montgomery. She is married to her husband Matthew and they have a Great Dane and two cats. Dr. Gilmore enjoys the outdoors, the beach, and scuba diving. 

Dr. Tanner, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Tanner is a 2019 graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also received her bachelors of animal, poultry, and veterinary sciences from Tuskegee.

Dr. Tanner grew up in Holtville and resides in Pike Road. Her and her husband have two daughters – Riley & Ivy. They have dogs, cats, chickens & ducks.

Her special interests include: dentistry, dermatology, surgery, and internal medicine. She’s a member of AVMA & CAVMA.
